Instead directing your wedding guests to the correct banquet room with the plain dry erase board or one of those black signs with the little plastic numbers supplied by the facility, use your own wedding themed directory sign.For example if you are having a beach theme wedding have your names printed or embroidered on a pair of towels and drape them over the back of a beach or deck chair. Then take them with you on your beach theme honeymoon.
If its a renaissance theme paint the names on a scroll of parchment. Use balloons and glitter if its a “party” party. For a fall theme use leaves and corn stalks. Craft stores are a good place to come up with hard to find materials.
You can carry the theme over to the table place cards but be careful, too much of a good thing can be come tacky.
