The ornaments are made from terra cotta or white low fire clay. This type of clay is somewhat porous as to allow the fragrance oil to be absorbed. The wind chimes are made from high fire porcelain or stone ware clay. 
2. Will they break, are they fragile? The wind chimes are very durable and can be hung outdoors. They should not break under normal conditions but if they were dropped or crushed they may break. The ornaments are quite strong and can easily survive a trip to the floor.
3. Who makes the favors? We make the favors from start to finish. Each piece is painstakingly hand crafted from start to finish in our studio. They are made from our own designs and are the result of more than 25 years experience in making clay wind chimes and other wares.
4. Can you do special designs? We can sometimes do special designs and it depends on the design and the detail required. There is sometimes an extra charge for custom work.
5. Do you offer quantity discounts? Yes and no. We do not usually offer discounts for wind chimes due to the amount of hand work that goes into each favor. The labor to produce them is the greatest cost and they are made entirely by hand as previously stated. It is not as if we could flip a switch and the wind chime machine starts churning out chimes. We can offer discounts for ornaments but the number starts at about 400 pieces. That said we sometime offer specials so it can't hurt to ask us if we are offering discounts.
6. Can you ship to other country's or overseas? Yes. If you want shipping costs for destinations other than the US please email us the full destination address and an estimate of what you want to order and we will work out the total cost including shipping and other taxes. Duties and other destination taxes are the responsibility of the customer.
7. Are these favors just for weddings? No. We have had customers use these favors for anniversary's, bridal and baby showers, christening, birthdays, sweet 16 parties, first communion and just plain thank you gifts. We can usually tailor the cards and message to suite any occasion.
8. What if I have a rush order? We can often accommodate a rush order but it is best to ask first before ordering. Our busy time of year is spring and fall. We can sometimes work orders in at these times of the year but there may be additional charges.
9. Can you even dye my eyes to match my gown? Uh-huh, but only for orders shipped to the land of Oz.
10. Are the gift boxes included? Yes, all of our favors come gift boxed. The exception would be if you do not want boxes for the ornaments. We will not ship the chimes without the boxes.
11. Do you sell decorated gift boxes? No, sorry but we are busy enough just making the favors. We offer step by step instructions on decorating the boxes in our inspiration section. We are happy to answer any questions about decorating the boxes.
12. Can my order be shipped to another destination? Sure. We often ship orders to destinations but we can not be responsible for orders after they are signed for on delivery.
13. What happens if my order is lost or arrives damaged? In more than 10 years of shipping and thousands of shipments of chimes and ornament favors we have only had 3 occasions where shipments were lost and that was before we were using Fed Ex. We have only had damage once in this time. Your order would be replaced as quickly as we could produce them. You would go to the head of the line and we would work all night if necessary in an emergency. Of corse we would hope you would check for obvious damage on arrival. If the shipping carton was broken or badly jammed you might consider looking at some of the favors to look for damage. We include insurance in the cost of shipping. It really does not add that much, usually 2 or 3 dollars but better safe than sorry.
14. Can the colors and fragrances be mixed? Certainly. We can use what ever colors of ribbons and any combination of fragrances. We can also mix colors for chime pieces. For example butterflies with 2 butterflies one color and 3 another. Your favors are Taylor made to order for you. We do not have a stock of favor parts. When you order them we make them so we can make them however you want them.
15. How much text can be put on the favors or card? The favors are limited to about 2 or sometimes 3 lines of text per favor. The butterflies and baseball favors are limited to just 2 lines. We can put a short verse on the ornament favor card or what ever other text you desire as long as it fits. Its best to send us your special message and we will tell you how it fits. We can not fit the legend of the sand dollar on the card but if you want it we can include it on a separate card.
